{"id":272325,"date":"2018-03-21T06:00:07","date_gmt":"2018-03-20T20:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=272325"},"modified":"2018-03-21T06:00:07","modified_gmt":"2018-03-20T20:00:07","slug":"us-passport-fee-set-increase-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/us-passport-fee-set-increase-april\/","title":{"rendered":"US passport fee set to increase in April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finance Secretary Larrisa Larson advises the public that the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs will impose a $10-increase on the U.S. passport execution fee by April 2, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The $10 fee increase, however, does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passport by mail using the DS-82 form.\u00a0Renewal customers can mail their application and supporting documentation to the Department of State and should not apply at a passport acceptance facility or pay an execution fee.<\/p>\n<p>Larson clarifies, however, that all U.S. passport fees stay in the CNMI.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time, the only acceptance agent is our Saipan U.S. Passport Office.
