(Jon Perez)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 670 Sonics rolled to their third straight victory, while the 670 Akkeri made it two in a row as they defeated their respective opponents in the men\u2019s division of the 2018 MIBF Island-wide Basketball League.<\/p>\n<p>The 670 Sonics crushed the Genesis All-Stars, 103-82, last Monday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium, while the 670 Akkeri edged the Saints last Friday, 67-62.<\/p>\n<p>Fred Litulumar scored the 670 Akkeri\u2019s last two field goals to help the team get its second consecutive win after losing its debut (against the 670 Sonics) early this month. Litulumar was one of the three 670 Akkeri players to finish in double figures after drilling 14 points. Ben Lisua tallied 12 markers, while Prince Factor registered 10.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Palacios paced the Saints with his 14 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the 670 Sonics versus Genesis-All Stars tiff, the former led right from the get-go en route to the 21-point win.<\/p>\n<p>The  670 Sonics built a 30-14 advantage after the first quarter behind the 8 points each of Bryan De Guzman and Paulo Rafols. The winning squad\u2019s lead ballooned to 20 at the break, 56-36, as they waxed hot from downtown, knocking in five triples\u2014two came from Jack Aranda.<\/p>\n<p>The  670 Sonics\u2019 advantage went down to 17 at the end of the third period, however the Genesis All-Stars failed to move closer in the final canto, as Matt Duenas got the job done for their team. Duenas, who was held to 6 points in the first three quarters, dropped 12 in the fourth.<\/p>\n<p>In other results in the men\u2019s division, the Ol\u2019Aces kept their undefeated record (5-0) after whipping the Ol\u2019Aces Extras last Monday, 103-74.<\/p>\n<p>N-Nes Siech scored 21 points for the Ol\u2019Aces, while Preston Basa registered 20 markers\u201418 of them came from the 3-point area.  Fred Pelisamen chipped in 14, while Jeff Deleon Guerrero tallied 10.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Ol\u2019Aces routed the Docomo Rollers in the women\u2019s division game, 65-34.<\/p>\n<p>Eleina Santos and Alliyah Fernandez teamed up in the easy win with the former firing 19 points and the latter adding 17.
