In honor of Shakespeare\u2019s 454th\u00a0birthday today, April 23, 2018, I would like share his sonnets 116 and 130 and a parody written using each of them for inspiration:<\/em><\/p>\n

W.S. Sonnet 116<\/strong>
\nLet me not to the marriage of true minds
\nAdmit impediments. Love is not love
\nWhich alters when it alteration finds,
\nOr bends with the remover to remove.
\nO no, it is an ever-fix\u00e8d mark
\nThat looks on tempests and is never shaken;
\nIt is the star to every wand\u2019ring bark,
\nWhose worth\u2019s unknown, although his height be taken.
\nLove\u2019s not time\u2019s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
\nWithin his bending sickle\u2019s compass come:
\nLove alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
\nBut bears it out even to the edge of doom.
\n\u2003\u2003If this be error and upon me proved,
\n\u2003\u2003I never writ, nor no man ever loved.<\/p>\n

W.S.116 Parody<\/p>\n

I Don\u2019t Accept Marriage of Truth<\/strong>
\n\u00a0 I don\u2019t accept the marriage of truth in our minds
\ndespite impediments I implement more bigly lies
\nwhich alter facts to fiction when any facts it finds
\nor twist the truth with repeated constant denies.
\n\u00a0 Oh yes it is one of my favorite strategic tricks
\nI tell lies about lies when truths are unshaken
\nlet spokespersons \u2018alternative facts\u2019 enter the mix
\nthe effects unknown but at face value will be taken.
\n\u00a0 Lies are a Trumpery tool trick using timed WH leaks
\nMueller collects and gathers them in and then some
\nlies pile up on page after page by the days and weeks
\nthen uncovered and exposed in the grand jury room.
\n\u00a0 If my lies detrimental to democracy are ever proved
\nthen I never uttered one and Mt. Rushmore moved.
\n\u00a0
\nW.S. Sonnet 130<\/strong>
\nMy mistress\u2019 eyes are nothing like the sun;
\nCoral is far more red than her lips\u2019 red;
\nIf snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
\nIf hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head;
\nI have seen roses damasked, red and white,
\nBut no such roses see I in her cheeks;
\nAnd in some p\u00e9rfumes is there more delight
\nThan in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
\nI love to hear her speak, yet well I know
\nThat music hath a far more pleasing sound.
\nI grant I never saw a goddess go;
\nMy mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.
\n\u2003\u2003And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
\n\u2003\u2003As any she belied with false compare.<\/p>\n

W.S.130 Parody<\/p>\n

My Tax Returns Will Never See<\/strong>
\n\u00a0 My tax returns will never see the light of day
\nI dread not rubles or ties with Russian red
\nmy money stashed in Wall St. every which way
\nits whereabouts known only inside my dyed head.
\n\u00a0 I have rubles galore unmasked Russian red and white
\nhaven\u2019t seen any in my accounts for months and weeks
\nI\u2019ll have to have an oligarch over for drinks tonight
\ngive him some old Trump vodka and see if he leaks.
\n\u00a0 I\u2019ll roll my rubles over in some small Swiss bourse
\ntime to lay low stop contacting my Russian oligarchs
\nnow time for a few rounds on my Mar A Lago course
\ngreenback leisure for us mighty plutocratic monarchs.
\n\u00a0 Yes, my friend Vladimir Putin thinks my brain is \u2018rare\u2019
\nas usual only with himself does he care to compare.
