Mariana avifauna presentation at AMP<\/strong>
\nThe American Memorial Park will be hosting a Mariana Avifauna Conservation Program this Wednesday, April 25, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, with the aim to bring people together to aid the long-term survival of native birds.<\/p>\n

The program was founded in 2006 and is run by Pacific Bird Conservation. PBC brings together zoo professionals from a number of institutions, government agencies and local islanders to counteract the decline of bird species that have been negatively affected by the invasive brown tree snake.\u00a0 This presentation will describe the past, present and future conservation efforts on behalf of these species. Free seminar on STEP Program for small businesses<\/strong>
\nThe CNMI Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Development Authority, will be offering a free seminar focusing on the CNMI State Trade Expansion Program for small businesses that are interested in expanding their market through export. The training will be held at CDA boardroom in San Jose, first floor, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 9:30am to 11am. The CNMI STEP Program is a state-federal partnership, funded by a grant from the Small Business Administration. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Military training at FDM <\/strong>
\nASAN, Guam<\/strong>\u2014The U.S. military will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla on April 23-26, from 8am to 4pm. It is recommended the public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

KHS Def Jam and progress reports<\/strong>
\nKagman High School will be hosting its annual Def Jam and 4th Quarter Progress Report this Thursday, April 26. Progress reports will be released from 4pm to 6pm and Def Jam will occur from 6pm to 8:30pm in the cafeteria. <\/p>\n

For parents and guardians living in the northern villages, KHS will also be holding a progress report on Friday, April 27, from 4pm to 6pm at the Natibu Sports Association, next to Tanapag Middle School. <\/p>\n

\nKagman Elementary School will have its fourth quarter mid-progress parent-teacher conference on Thursday, April 26, from 3pm to 6pm on campus. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn about your child\u2019s academic performance, and if she or he will need to attend the intensive summer school program. Parents who attend the children\u2019s parent-teacher conferences three or more times during the school year will be recognized with medals and certificates at the end of the school year. SCS art show and writers showcase<\/strong>
\nThe Saipan Community School invites the public to its SCS Annual\u00a0Art\u00a0Show\u00a0and Young Writers Showcase on Friday, April 27, at 6pm in the SCS chapel.
