{"id":274681,"date":"2018-04-24T06:06:10","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T20:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=274681"},"modified":"2018-04-24T06:06:10","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T20:06:10","slug":"45-sex-offenders-located-3-nabbed-for-pot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/45-sex-offenders-located-3-nabbed-for-pot\/","title":{"rendered":"45 sex offenders located, 3 nabbed for pot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sex Offender Task Force did a four-day sweep of registered sex offenders last week, resulting in the location of 45 registered sex offenders, including three who were arrested for alleged possession and growing of marijuana plants.<\/p>\n<p>Department of Public Safety spokesperson Jacqueline Rae Shepard said yesterday that Angel Palacios, 45; Crispin Taitano, 69; and Stephen Abright, 47, were all arrested for possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>Shepard said the task force has been doing compliance check operations every three months, to confirm the offenders\u2019 location, verify compliance, and obtain updated photos.<\/p>\n<p>Shepard said the four-day operation that started last Tuesday, April 17, resulted in the successful location and verification of 30 sex offenders on Saipan, nine on Tinian, and six on Rota.<\/p>\n<p>The compliance check also resulted in the arrest of Palacios, Taitano, and Abright.<\/p>\n<p>Shepard said Palacios was arrested last Tuesday at 3:45pm after task force officers found two marijuana plants in plain sight at his Dandan home.<\/p>\n<p>Shepard said Taitano was arrested last Thursday at 2:35pm after officers found him in possession of 117 marijuana plants at his home in Songsong, Rota.<\/p>\n<p>Later that afternoon, officers also arrested Abright after six marijuana plants were allegedly found growing in his Sinapalo, Rota residence.<\/p>\n<p>Shepard said all marijuana plants discovered during the operation were seized and taken into evidence. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sex Offender Task Force did a four-day sweep of registered sex offenders last week,&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[94],"tags":[11946,20945,19467,20946],"class_list":["post-274681","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-headlines","tag-angel-palacios","tag-crispin-taitano","tag-jacqueline-rae-shepard","tag-stephen-abright"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/274681","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=274681"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/274681\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=274681"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=274681"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=274681"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
