{"id":275383,"date":"2018-05-04T06:06:47","date_gmt":"2018-05-03T20:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=275383"},"modified":"2018-05-04T06:06:47","modified_gmt":"2018-05-03T20:06:47","slug":"scheduled-power-interruptions-on-may-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/scheduled-power-interruptions-on-may-8\/","title":{"rendered":"Scheduled power interruptions on May 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There will be scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, affecting Tanapag and San Roque villages:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 7am to 11am: Chalan Pale Arnold Road in Tanapag <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 7am to 11am: Haraw Street in Tanapag <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Haraw Street in Tanapag <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Tanapag Elementary School <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 3:30pm to 7:30pm:  San Roque Elementary School <\/p>\n<p>No water well or wastewater lift station will be affected. <\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the power interruptions is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. contractor, Primary Source Electric, to safely replace six wooden power poles along the Feeder 7 distribution circuit in Tanapag and in San Roque. <\/p>\n<p>The project task is a component of CUC&#8217;s Hazard Mitigation Project that entails the replacement of 787 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan. <\/p>\n<p>Primary Source Electric will be replacing a total of 374 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan. <\/p>\n<p>Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. <\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact the CUC Customer Call Center (664-4282) or monitor the CUC Facebook page for the latest updates (https:\/\/www.facebook.comlCommonwealthUtilitiesCorporationl).
