There will be scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, affecting Tanapag and San Roque villages:<\/p>\n
– 7am to 11am: Chalan Pale Arnold Road in Tanapag <\/p>\n
– 7am to 11am: Haraw Street in Tanapag <\/p>\n
– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Haraw Street in Tanapag <\/p>\n
– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: Tanapag Elementary School <\/p>\n
– 3:30pm to 7:30pm: San Roque Elementary School <\/p>\n
No water well or wastewater lift station will be affected. <\/p>\n
The purpose of the power interruptions is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. contractor, Primary Source Electric, to safely replace six wooden power poles along the Feeder 7 distribution circuit in Tanapag and in San Roque. <\/p>\n
The project task is a component of CUC’s Hazard Mitigation Project that entails the replacement of 787 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan. <\/p>\n
Primary Source Electric will be replacing a total of 374 wooden poles with concrete poles around Saipan. <\/p>\n
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. <\/p>\n
