A grass fire of still unknown cause that lasted about three hours swept through four acres of vegetation in Papago yesterday afternoon. <\/p>\n
No one was reported injured, according to Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services acting spokesman Linus Mizutani.<\/p>\n
DFEMS received a call about a grass fire in Papago at 1:58pm. DFEMS Forestry I and firefighters from the Susupe fire station arrived at the scene at 2:08pm and immediately put out the fire. <\/p>\n
The grass fire was under control by 3:22pm, but firefighters fully extinguished it at 4:40pm.<\/p>\n
A total of four acres were burnt, based on firefighters\u2019 mop-up operations.<\/p>\n
DFEMS reminds the public to take extra precaution to prevent wildland fires. <\/p>\n
Last March 30, brush fire of still unknown cause broke out in Talafofo and spread near the Miller estate on Capital Hill. <\/p>\n
