{"id":27623,"date":"2014-02-14T13:46:38","date_gmt":"2014-02-14T03:46:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper2.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=27623"},"modified":"2014-02-14T13:46:38","modified_gmt":"2014-02-14T03:46:38","slug":"teen-arrested-allegedly-burglarizing-shop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/teen-arrested-allegedly-burglarizing-shop\/","title":{"rendered":"Teen arrested for allegedly burglarizing shop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A teenager was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing copper wires, a desk top computer, and other tools from a maintenance workshop belonging to his family\u2019s landlord in Dandan.<\/p>\n<p>Gerson Paul Semens, 18, was taken before Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho yesterday for his initial appearance on charges of burglary and theft.<\/p>\n<p>A $5,000 cash bail was imposed for Semens\u2019 temporary release.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan stated in her report that on Feb. 6, 2014, a police officer was dispatched to a residence in Dandan, where a maintenance work shop had been burglarized.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said copper wires and other tools were stolen.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, Pangelinan said, the owner of the property called her to report that he has a clue about the burglary.<\/p>\n<p>It was learned that the victim\u2019s maintenance worker had discovered a small black strip of copper wire on the floor of the tenant\u2019s house while he was fixing the smoke detector inside the residence.<\/p>\n<p>The worker reported the matter to the victim.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said that she, the victim, and the worker searched the house with the consent of the tenant.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said they then found the stolen items inside a locked room in the house.<\/p>\n<p>The tenant told the detective that she has no knowledge about the items and hinted that her 18-year-old son may have been possibly behind it.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said Semens later came and admitted that he stole the items from the shop on Feb. 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A teenager was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing copper wires, a desk top computer, and&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[314,88],"class_list":["post-27623","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-computer","tag-superior-court"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27623","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=27623"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27623\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=27623"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=27623"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=27623"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
