Police officers took time out of their day yesterday to sit down and talk with those interested in speaking with the police about their concerns.<\/p>\n
The event, called Coffee With a Cop, happened yesterday at McDonald\u2019s Middle Road from 7am to 10am, with the coffee free of charge, courtesy of McDonald\u2019s. It entails exactly that, a police officer sitting down with one person to talk about police matters.<\/p>\n
The event was first held last year and has been brought back this year due to its success. The Department of Public Safety allows their officers the chance, one day a year for a few hours, to speak with members of the community who want to share their personal ideas on ways to further ensure safety for the CNMI. <\/p>\n
Through this event, members of the public can get acquainted with the local police force as equals in a neutral environment over a cup of coffee. <\/p>\n
