Add $5,000 more to the already impressive list of prizes that may be won at the 23rd\u00a0Annual Governor\u2019s Tournament of Champions.<\/p>\n

Pacific\u00a0Insurance\u00a0Underwriters announced last Friday that it is participating in the golf tournament by sponsoring the large cash award as a hole-in-one prize.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Governor\u2019s Tournament of Champions is a golf tournament with a good purpose. Let\u2019s continue to support it,\u201d said Shirley Sablan, president and general manager of Pacifica In<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Tournament of Champions credits its longstanding success to the generosity of companies like\u00a0Pacifica\u00a0Insurance,\u201d said Ben Babauta, tournament director.<\/p>\n

The 23rd Governor\u2019s Tournament of Champions will be played at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort\u2019s east and west courses on\u00a0May 26 and 27.\u00a0 The two-day event is bigger and better than ever with exciting hole-in-one prizes and the chance to win thousands of dollars in possible prizes. The\u00a0TOC\u00a0tournament fee is $200.<\/p>\n

Winners in the Men\u2019s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Super Senior flights will each receive $500 cash, $400 cash, $300 cash, a Casio watch, and $100 DFS gift certificate for the first to fifth place, respectively. The Ladies Low Gross winners will receive $500, $400, and $300 cash for first to third place, respectively. The first, second, and third place winners of the Ladies Low Net will each receive a trophy.<\/p>\n

There will be hundreds of thousands worth of prizes that will be at stake in the two-day tournament, including\u00a0hole-in-one\u00a0prizes that include a brand new 2018 Hyundai Kona donated by Triple J Motors,\u00a0$5,000 hole in-one cash prize donated by Pacifica Insurance,\u00a0$5,000 hole-in-one cash prize donated by McDonald\u2019s of Saipan, one year free golf donated by Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, one round-trip ticket to anywhere in Asia donated by Asiana Airlines, and one round-trip ticket to Guangzhou or Shanghai donated by Saipan Travel Inc.<\/p>\n

Since its inception,\u00a0TOC\u00a0has turned over more than $800,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund, which has gone directly to improvements like the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to the Kensington Hotel Saipan, as well as the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, the Governor\u2019s\u00a0TOC\u00a0also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, the lighting of the Saipan Beach Pathway, and the beautification of the Port to Park pathway.<\/p>\n
