Bordallo (D-GU) announced last week that the government of Guam has been awarded $413,040 by the U.S. Department of the Interior and the National Park Service, part of $48.9 million in historic preservation grants for U.S. states, territories, and partnering nations. <\/p>\n<p>The awarding of historic preservation grants first began in 1977 and have given nearly $2 billion to states, territories, tribes, and non-profit organizations.
