{"id":277853,"date":"2018-06-11T06:00:22","date_gmt":"2018-06-10T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=277853"},"modified":"2018-06-11T06:00:22","modified_gmt":"2018-06-10T20:00:22","slug":"intl-artists-to-perform-at-libday-fest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/intl-artists-to-perform-at-libday-fest\/","title":{"rendered":"Int\u2019l artists to perform at LibDay fest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Liberation Day festival is going far and beyond this year, with the logistics committee bringing in two international artists to perform during the July 4th evening program.<\/p>\n<p>Liberation Day committee logistics chair Shayne Villanueva said at the weekly Liberation Day committee meeting that he has secured headline performers Leilani Wolfgramm and DJ Hapa Boy to perform at the Liberation Day celebration. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe [Wolfgram] will be doing a special performance\u2026right before the raffle on July 4\u2026she is here for a concert on July 7 but she\u2019s gracing us with her presence on July 4 so she will be a headlining performer,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>Wolfgramm, an international artist who got started on her musical journey in Orlando, Florida, has since expanded and has been able to share her talents in other U.S. states and now, the CNMI. Wolfgramm has made it big in Hawaii and has also been nominated for Female Artist of the Year for her island music in Hawaii\u2019s Island Radio 98.5 Awards. <\/p>\n<p>According to Villanueva, DJ Hapa Boy is an international DJ out of Hawaii. \u201cHe\u2019s a very large personality there in Hawaii\u2026he\u2019ll be here also and he is very popular with the teens,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>DJ Hapa Boy started his musical journey in Hawaii. According to an online source, DJ Hapa Boy started off as a videographer for club promoter Artist Groove Network. With the amount of exposure his videos and he was getting, he launched his DJ career in 2010 and has since been one of the top entertainers in Hawaii. <\/p>\n<p>Both Wolfgramm and DJ Hapa Boy are currently touring in Hawaii, but will make it down to Saipan on July 4 for the festivities. <\/p>\n<p>Villanueva said that he has also secured an amazing firework show and will also feature local talents during the Liberation Day festivities.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have the fireworks\u2026we have the marching bands who will be performing during the fireworks on July 4 evening\u2026. We\u2019re bringing in a headliner to bring in the entertainment\u2026We will also be doing movie nights and some other stuff as well,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>The 2018 Liberation Day festivities will start on June 29 and will lead up to the Liberation Day parade on July 4.
