(Jon Perez)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Marianas High School\u2019s Glee Club Rhythm \u2018N Harmony will be leading the more than 20-member CNMI delegation\u2019s campaign at this year\u2019s International Thespian Festival from\u00a0June 25 to 30\u00a0in Lincoln, Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be hosted by University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The same university will host the event for the last time next year before it moves to Indiana University in Bloomington in 2020.\u2028International Thespian Society chapter director Harold Easton said the annual festival gives students the chance to showcase their talents in theatre arts and other musical categories.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be lots of activities in Nebraska. There will be workshops and plays, and auditions for juniors and seniors for them to earn scholarships in drama schools in the United States,\u201d said Easton.<\/p>\n<p>Rhythm \u2018N Harmony members and the entire CNMI delegation gave a sneak peek last Sunday at the American Memorial Park theater of what they will be performing in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>Rhythm \u2018N Harmony performed He Lives In You\u00a0from the musical The Lion King while a separate group presented the short comedy The Internet is Distract_____. Oh Look, a Kitten!\u00a0by Ian McWethy about a young woman who needs to do her homework but got distracted by the Internet.<\/p>\n<p>The other students on the team are from Grace Christian Academy, Kagman High School, and Saipan Southern High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a chance for these students to have a shot and they are going to give their best. It is nice for them to show it to an audience before they head to Nebraska,\u201d said Easton, who will leave the CNMI for Nebraska\u00a0on Thursday\u00a0while the rest of the delegation leaves next week.<\/p>\n<p>Easton is also the president of the Western Pacific Region-National Forensic League with Angela Wheat, who is one of the board members and also coaches the students.<\/p>\n<p>Rhythm \u2018N Harmony is a five-time champion at the Tumon Bay Music Festival, including three straight wins from 2015 to 2017. They also placed second in the musical category at the 2012 Thespian nationals.<\/p>\n<p>The other members of the delegation won in different categories in competitions held in the CNMI.
