My father taught me how to be the man of the house. He will always be who I strive to become as a father. Although it hurts to see him weak, his charisma at home remains the same from when I was younger. The master of unfunny dad jokes, I greet you a happy Father’s Day!”
— Charles Tan Garapan

“We are blessed to have fathers because they are our first heroes, our role model, and we’re doubly blessed when that paternal hero of ours provides us with that solid foundation. I speak especially because our dad who left his country and his parents to go and seek opportunities to help his parents and met our mother here was such a blessing for us. It is because of him that I am what I am as a father, emulating exactly what he did and not reinventing anything else as he truly was our refuge and sanctuary together with our mother. I believe in creating lasting memories and making time for your sons and daughters because when we leave we cannot turn back time and so we only rely on our memories and this makes us look back and say we are blessed and God is good.”
— John Oliver Gonzalez
Chief of staff, Office of the Lt. He is very supportive of our family up to this day like me even as an adult, older, and have my own job and career. He still makes it a point to always prioritize us. This is something that he has done since I was a child. I am very grateful to have him as a dad and I consider myself blessed and very proud of him.”
— Alexis P. I don’t know if it was because I was the only girl or if it was because I was the closest to his heart, but it set the bar for what I expect love to be like (in the future).
