Angel A. Demapan (R-Saipan) said that no budget hearing would be held for the corporation due to scheduling conflicts between his committee and CHCC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve called in pretty much all the critical programs with the exception of CHCC,\u201d said Demapan last Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>Instead, CHCC chief executive officer Esther Mu\u00f1a would be submitting a written statement justifying their proposed budget for fiscal year 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would take a look at that as\u2026we do in a budget hearing and see how much we can accommodate their request,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Demapan said the committee is looking at passing a product for House review by July. However, he said he would first want to communicate with Sen. Jude Hofschneider\u2019s (R-Tinian) Senate Fiscal Affairs Committee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am going to confer also with the Senate committee chair on their approach for the budget process.
