The federal court dismissed with prejudice on Friday the discrimination lawsuit filed against Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC by its former table games supervisor. <\/p>\n
Dismissal with prejudice means Dennis Campbell can no longer re-file his lawsuit against Imperial Pacific.<\/p>\n
U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona dismissed the lawsuit but retained jurisdiction for the purpose of enforcing the terms of the settlement.<\/p>\n
Campbell and Imperial Pacific have requested the court to dismiss the matter as they have reached a settlement.<\/p>\n
The terms and conditions of the settlement deal were not disclosed. <\/p>\n
Campbell, through Jeanne Rayphand of the Northern Marianas Protection & Advocacy Systems Inc., sued Imperial Pacific for violation of the American with Disabilities Act.<\/p>\n
Campbell alleged that he has a physical disability and that the company did not act on his complaint of having difficulty standing and walking for long periods of time.<\/p>\n
He asked the court to hold Imperial Pacific liable to pay him back pay plus interest, damages, attorney\u2019s fees, and court costs. <\/p>\n
