The Latte Training Academy Inc. continues its efforts to aide in the CNMI\u2019s workforce development.<\/p>\n
The organization has used available funding to provide courses in the areas of hotel and hospitality, allied health, business administration and information technology. <\/p>\n
Since the beginning of the year, the organization has completed seven certification\u00a0courses, including\u00a0bookkeeping, fundamental of information technology, hotel &\u00a0hospitality skills tasks and results training, or START, medical billing and coding, nursing assistant, phlebotomy technician and office manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The organization is currently holding its\u00a0hotel & hospitality specialty\u00a0and\u00a0first QuickBooks certification courses.<\/p>\n
July will see\u00a0a Fundamentals of information technology, A+, bookkeeping\u00a0and nursing assistant certification\u00a0courses. \u00a0<\/p>\n
In August, START, specialty and additional allied health area certification courses will commence. \u00a0<\/p>\n
There are seats available for all the IT and hotel and hospitality courses.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are really proud of the strides that have been made with the support of our community. To date, we have trained\u00a0600\u00a0CNMI residents, with a certification rate of over\u00a090 percent. We have received a tremendous amount of support from the private business sector who have readily sought out our students for employment or advancement\u00a0opportunities,\u201d said LTA executive director Arielle Buyum.<\/p>\n
The upcoming courses, including its fundamental of information of technology course and\u00a0the hotel and hospitality START and specialty\u00a0courses are all currently accepting registration via\u00a0the LTA website. Other course offerings, including its nursing assistant, medical billing and coding, phlebotomy technician\u00a0and bookkeeping courses, are already filled.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe demand for all of our courses is steady. However, there are some courses where the demand is so high, that we encourage interested parties to place their name on the wait list. We certainly do not want to turn away any potential student; however, we accommodate classes based on a first-registered,\u00a0first-serve basis. We understand this can be frustrating to some students who don\u2019t want to wait to get started on a new career.
