(Contributed Photo)

In an effort to continue helping parents, Mount Carmel School’s board of directors recently decided to maintain current tuition levels. While the economy is improving, the board recognized that other issues, such as immigration, are weighing heavily on many families. In the past 20 years, the school has only raised tuition three times, in 1999, in 2009, and in 2015.

School president, Galvin Deleon Guerrero, applauded the decision of the board, which is led by chairman and AlumKnight Vicente Babauta. Deleon Guerrero said, “It’s always been our goal to offer the best Catholic education possible while keeping it affordable for our parents.” He added, “The board has demonstrated leadership and compassion in this decision.”

Despite the board’s decision, Deleon Guerrero noted that it will be difficult. “While tuition is not rising, our costs continue to rise for utilities, curricular resources, and practically all other expenses,” he said.

“But, we will continue to control our spending, diversify our revenue stream, and supplement our resources through other means, such as federal grants.”

The school will also continue family discounts for families that enroll more than one child. Families with two children can avail of a $600 discount for the second child, families with three children can avail of a $1,000 discount for the third child, and families with four children can avail of a $1,500 discount for the fourth child.

To learn more about enrolling at Mount Carmel School for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, call 234-6184 or visit www.mountcarmelsaipan.com. (PR)

In an effort to continue helping parents, Mount Carmel School’s board of directors recently decided…

[4
14856,1737,1181,1111
post-279490","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-bishop-ryan-jimenez","tag-galvin-deleon-guerrero","tag-mcs","tag-mount-carmel-school
["GET
