{"id":280477,"date":"2018-07-23T06:00:13","date_gmt":"2018-07-22T20:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=280477"},"modified":"2018-07-23T06:00:13","modified_gmt":"2018-07-22T20:00:13","slug":"coast-guard-maui-fire-rescue-save-3-paddle-boarders-off-maui","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/coast-guard-maui-fire-rescue-save-3-paddle-boarders-off-maui\/","title":{"rendered":"Coast Guard, Maui Fire Rescue save 3 paddle boarders off Maui"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HONOLULU<\/strong>\u2014A Coast Guard Station Maui crew and Maui Fire and Rescue responders saved three paddle boarders in distress near Ukumehame Beach Park, Maui, Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Station Maui 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew found the paddle boarders holding onto a single paddleboard and was able to bring them onto the boat before Jet Ski operators from Maui Fire and Rescue returned them to shore. <\/p>\n<p>At approximately 2pm, Station Maui watchstanders received a report from a beachgoer who called 911 about three paddle boarders in distress 250-yards offshore. <\/p>\n<p>The RB-M crew was launched to respond.
