{"id":280849,"date":"2018-07-26T06:06:12","date_gmt":"2018-07-25T20:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=280849"},"modified":"2018-07-26T06:06:12","modified_gmt":"2018-07-25T20:06:12","slug":"nmti-seeks-help-from-shefa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmti-seeks-help-from-shefa\/","title":{"rendered":"NMTI seeks help from SHEFA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Northern Marianas Trade Institute is requesting funding from the Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance.<\/p>\n<p>At a SHEFA meeting yesterday at the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office, it was disclosed that NMITA sent the scholarship office a letter requesting for open enrollment for its students. <\/p>\n<p>SHEFA administrator Merissa S. Rasa said there are currently 12 SHEFA applicants enrolled at the trades school<\/p>\n<p>SHEFA chair Oscar M. Babauta said that NMTI is not the same as other normal institutions. <\/p>\n<p>The scholarship office, however, approved NMTI\u2019s request to waive the deadline for supporting documents, knowing that classes will still be taken within the term dates (fall and spring semesters). <\/p>\n<p>Saipan Mayor David M.
