The first-ever Gay Pride celebration will take place this Sunday at the GIG Discotheque starting at 6pm.<\/p>\n
Event organizer Sharmaine Casquero is inviting everyone to an evening that would celebrate equality while having fun with fashionable members of the Saipan\u2019s LGBT community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the most extravagant and memorable one because we celebrate our rights and I hope the public will support the event,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Casquero said she is glad that the Division of Public Health is financially supporting them to be able to run this event. <\/p>\n
She said that 13 different individuals are confirmed to showcase their unique costumes and parading all over the GIG Discotheque. <\/p>\n
The Gay Pride celebration will feature the Paper Dolls wearing fun and colorful costumes to represent the gay community.<\/p>\n
The Saipan Music and Studio will also be performing to gain support for their quest on the International Hip Hop competition, where they will be representing the CNMI. <\/p>\n
