The Non-Communicable Disease Bureau under the Division of Public Health Services at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, held a strategic planning meeting at the Pacific Islands Club last June 18 and 20. <\/p>\n
At this meeting, a variety of government agencies, private businesses, faith-based groups, non-profit organizations, and community members gathered to understand the severity of NCDs and how they can play a role in reducing the burden it causes in the CNMI.<\/p>\n
The Physical Activity Council is recruiting members and invites the public to attend their inaugural meeting on Aug. 7, 2018, at 8:30am at CHCC.<\/p>\n
This meeting is intended to build the Physical Activity Council and present its strategic plan to increase participation in exercise from 67 percent to 77 percent. <\/p>\n
