Sixto K. Igisomar (R-Saipan) noted yesterday that, with the CPA board committee adopting an incentive program for airlines last Friday, he might finally get answers on his questions of transparency and policy.

“[CPA] has been working on [an incentive program] for a long time,” he said, adding that with the new program, which he did not elaborate, CPA’s adoption of the program promotes transparency.

“…The most important aspect of the program’s adoption is that it is written and transparent,” he said, noting that he always asked CPA about their policies. “Now that it is written and transparent, we all know what the rules are and what the guidelines are. From there, it helps the community, the investors, and it also helps policymakers know where they are going.”

Igisomar, in a previous Senate session, stated that he wished to conduct an oversight hearing on CPA management after Cape Air under United Airlines pulled out of Rota after the latter severed ties with the former in Micronesia.
