Apatang last Friday as part of the mayor\u2019s office\u2019s cultural student exchange program.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 12 Japanese students ranging in age from 9 to 12 years old and two coordinators\u2014 Naoko Matsumoto and Yasuyo Ichihara\u2014comprised the group.<\/p>\n<p>The KSKK students and their chaperones arrived on Saipan early Friday and immediately went to the mayor\u2019s office where they exchanged pleasantries with Apatang and his staff.<\/p>\n<p>As a symbol of their appreciation on being invited to Saipan, the KSKK students gave Apatang a rice cooker.<\/p>\n<p>The group then went on a tour, visiting the island\u2019s top tourist sites such as Banzai Cliff, Suicide Cliff, The Last Command Post, and the American Memorial Park. <\/p>\n<p>Seven host families waited at the mayor\u2019s office lobby to pick up the KSKK students. All of them have plans in store for the KSKK students to make their stay on Saipan even more enjoyable.
