(Bea Cabrera)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Xerox Corp., which makes copiers and printers, has a new lineup of products that keep up with new technologies and automates office workflow.<\/p>\n<p>Tiffany Rabacal-Harper, an Office Solutions specialist from Xerox Hawaii, introduced the new feature-laden machines at the \u201cTechnology Show\u201d yesterday at the Xerox office in Garapan, where they showcased the Xerox Altalink and Versalink products. \u201c\u2026These are the newest and latest devices that are launched nationwide\u2026 The basis for the new features is to make life easier just like one would be using a smartphone or tablet,\u201d Rabacal-Harper said. \u201cWe have added features that one can control anywhere they are, such as security features, centralized management, information flow, document format, and customized workflows\u2026the machines are very intuitive and easy to use.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the things that is truly exciting is the Xerox App Gallery, According to Rabacal-Harper. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe machines have apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Office 365\u2026 These apps are subscription-based with Xerox\u2026we have robust offerings and they are free to download,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new products are compatible with Apple and Android devices, have cloud connectivity, ability to store documents, option to print in color or black and white,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Other features include the \u201cXerox Easy Translation\u201d where the devices can translate documents into 40 languages, the \u201cPDF Converter Professional\u201d where PDF images can be converted to Excel or Word documents, and the \u201cNuance Output Manager\u201d where documents are secured and have print management software that provides device authentication, authorization accounting, and audit.<\/p>\n<p>Xerox Service &amp; Solutions executive Nola K. Hix said the units stay affordable. \u201cThe units can be purchased or leased. A lot of our small desktops range on a lease for about $50 a month and whether purchased or leased, it comes with free service and supplies . We are the only provider on island that have equipment insurance, especially with previous disasters like Typhoon Soudelor,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have our \u2018total satisfaction guarantee warranty,\u2019 which means if there\u2019s any time during the lease or after the sale the customer is not satisfied with the product, we can replace them at no charge. \u2026In terms of availability, we have the units here on island [and] we also have our inventory in Guam. So customers that are looking for new equipment won\u2019t have any issues with that,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Xerox general manager for Guam &amp; Saipan Pamela Quinata said the businesses on Saipan is very important to Xerox. \u201cWe [are] updated in technology [on] both Saipan and Guam. \u2026We are far geographically but we are still part if the United States  and a lot of  our businesses here is international. I think no one can afford to miss what\u2019s coming up and that\u2019s why we are here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tucker Baldwin, chief operations officer of Bridge Capital, who was one of the guests at the launch, found the presentation informative.\u201d It gave us the basics of what the new product lines are, which is always useful as it saves us a trip to the mainland as they bring the experts to us,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are always looking at our equipment to see how we can keep up with the need&#8230; a lot of the stuff that they talked about today is right in line with where we are today and where we are eventually going,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of product appeal, the \u201cEasy Translation\u201d feature caught the attention of QuickPrint manager Marilou Lambat. \u201cWe have Chinese customers and they like to have documents translated from Chinese to English.
