{"id":282249,"date":"2018-08-15T06:06:10","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T20:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=282249"},"modified":"2018-08-15T06:06:10","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T20:06:10","slug":"scs-open-house-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/scs-open-house-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"SCS open house tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saipan Community School is hosting its annual Open House and Parent Orientation Night tomorrow, Aug. 16, starting at 6pm. <\/p>\n<p>Parents and students are encouraged to attend as well as members of the community interested in learning more about the school.<\/p>\n<p>The open house will include a brief introduction to the SCS teachers, staff, and administration. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Students and parents should meet in the church at 6pm for a general assembly before proceeding to individual classrooms. Teachers will be available in their classrooms to discuss goals for the school year, curriculum, and co-curricular activities such as MathCourt, STEM Fair, NJFL, Spelling Bee, PGFC, and mock trial, as well as athletic events.<\/p>\n<p>SCS is a private Christian school that was established in 1976 as the first Protestant school on the island. <\/p>\n<p>SCS offers a U.S. curriculum taught in English.
