Sablan (Ind-MP) will be the keynote speaker at the Society for Human Resource Management NMI Chapter meeting this Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Pacific Islands Club\u2019s Charley\u2019s Cabaret, from\u00a011:30am\u00a0to\u00a01:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan will share information about the newly enacted NMI U.S. Workforce Act, which extends the CNMI\u2019s foreign worker program\u2019s transition period and increases foreign worker permits for the next year and his proposed U.S. H.R. 6578 legislation, which intends to provide permanent immigration status for long-term foreign workers in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>This presentation is open to the public.
