The aggregate amount for all 54 project contracts with the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. as of last June is approximately $149,329,642, according to CUC executive director Gary P. Camacho. <\/p>\n
In documents filed before the U.S. District Court for the NMI, Camacho disclosed that in June 2018, 54 contracts were monitored wherein 49 are active projects while five are in-processing as new contracts or as change orders to current contracts.<\/p>\n
CUC\u2019s water-wastewater division has 21 contracts, which is the highest number among the divisions. <\/p>\n
Camacho said the 21 contracts are worth approximately $7.3 million.<\/p>\n
CUC\u2019s power generation has 12 contracts, but according to Camacho, it has the highest amount with a sum of about $135 million.<\/p>\n
Camacho said there are 17 contracts funded by grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Insular Affairs, and others.<\/p>\n
He said 37 contracts are funded by CUC.<\/p>\n
