{"id":282975,"date":"2018-08-24T06:06:02","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T20:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=282975"},"modified":"2018-08-24T06:06:02","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T20:06:02","slug":"10k-bail-for-registered-sex-offender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/10k-bail-for-registered-sex-offender\/","title":{"rendered":"$10k bail for registered sex offender"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who was released on probation after an alleged sex abuse of a minor incident was arrested again for allegedly violating the conditions of his probation. <\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho issued a warrant last Aug. 22 for the arrest of registered sex offender Frank Kaneshi, for allegedly violating the terms of his probation by having a minor spend a night with him. <\/p>\n<p>Kaneshi was arrested for offenses involving victims who are minors. <\/p>\n<p>Camacho set Kaneshi\u2019s bail yesterday at $10,000. He is set to be arraigned at the U.S. District Court on Sept. 10, and will be represented by Doug Hartig of the Public Defender\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n<p>According to an officer of the Department of Public Safety, Kaneshi was arrested during a compliance check on Aug. 13 by the CNMI Sex Offender Task Force and the U.S Marshal after finding Kaneshi with his girlfriend\u2019s 2-year-old child in his apartment in As Lito. <\/p>\n<p>When asked if he knows that he is prohibited from being around any minor, Kaneshi said yes. <\/p>\n<p>Kaneshi later stated that the child stayed overnight with him and his girlfriend. <\/p>\n<p>Back in June 22, 2011, Kaneshi pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree and is under probation.<\/p>\n<p>Kaneshi is currently registered with the CNMI Sex Offender Registry as a tier 3 sex offender.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man who was released on probation after an alleged sex abuse of a minor&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":24,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[93,22432,12570,215],"class_list":["post-282975","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-district-court","tag-frank-kaneshi","tag-public-defender","tag-public-safety"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/282975","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/24"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=282975"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/282975\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=282975"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=282975"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=282975"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
