(Contributed Photo)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>All is set for the 3rd Annual Governor\u2019s Tourism Cup Golf Tournament that will be held this Saturday on the east course of the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of the Governor and the Marianas Visitors Authority are co-hosting the tournament that will have a teetime at 7:30am.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGolfers have until 5pm today to sign up for the tournament,\u201d tournament director James Nelson said. \u201cInterested golfers can sign up at the Marianas Visitors Authority or at the Laolao Bay Golf &amp; Resort.  We expect great weather as Typhoon Jebi passes over the Northern Mariana Islands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s major sponsors are DFS T-Galleria, the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Hyatt Regency Saipan, IT&amp;E, J.C. Tenorio Enterprises and United Airlines, donating $3,000 or more in cash and prizes.  Classic sponsors Bank of Guam, IP&amp;E, Mar Pac, Marianas Variety, and Power 99 have all made generous contributions of $2,000 or more in cash, prizes and services.<\/p>\n<p>For hole-in-one prizes, Triple J Motors has put up a 2018 Mazda 3i Sport Plus, Pacifica Insurance has $5,000 up for grabs, and Joeten Motors will have a 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport.<\/p>\n<p>Classic contributors with donations of $1,000 include First Hawaiian Bank, Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan, Island Training Solutions, Bank of Saipan, and McDonald\u2019s of Saipan. <\/p>\n<p>Other donors to the tournament include the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, Micronesian Brokers, Joeten Super Store, Lao Lao Bay Golf &amp; Resort, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, The Water Company, Kensington Hotel, Triple J Truckload Store, AON Insurance, Roil Soil, and the Tournament of Champions. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs with every tournament, golfers look forward to the famous hot dog stands.   This feature is made possible through the generous donation of fresh baked buns from Herman\u2019s Modern Bakery and Nathan\u2019s Hot Dogs by Triple J 5-Star Wholesale and.  Herman\u2019s Modern Bakery and Triple J 5-Star Wholesale also donated the morning snacks for golfers to enjoy,\u201d MTEC chair Vicky Benavente said.<\/p>\n<p>MTEC was formed in 2002 to heighten the community\u2019s awareness of the importance of the islands\u2019 tourism industry.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s entry fee is $100 and includes cart and green fees, morning snacks, free flowing on-course refreshments and awards banquet.
