A student attending the Saipan Southern High School has been invited to join the National Society of High School Scholars based on her academic achievements.<\/p>\n

The NSHSS announced last Aug. 20 their selection of Megan Cleo P. Hemley into their organization, which boasts exclusive benefits for higher education and beyond to its over 1.5 million pool of scholars.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that [Hemley] has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,\u201d said NSHSS founder and chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes. \u201c[Hemley] is now a member of a unique community of scholars\u2014a community that represents our very best hope for the future.\u201d <\/p>\n

NSHSS president James W. Lewis noted the organization\u2019s vision to provide a \u201clifetime membership to young scholars\u201d to support their growth and development. \u201cWe aim to help students like [Hemley] build on their academic success by connecting them with unique learning experiences and resources to help prepare them for college and meaningful careers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Members of the NSHSS are automatically lifetime members.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2002, the NSHSS recognizes academic excellence at the high school level and provides unique learning experiences, scholarships, internships, international study and peer networking. <\/p>\n
