Quan, fourth left, and McDonald\u2019s Saipan executive assistant Mable Ayuyu, second left, at the McDonald\u2019s Chalan Laulau branch last Wednesday.\u00a0(Erwin Encinares)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan has come forward to support the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance\u2019s largest fundraising event, the Green Gala.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan executive secretary Mable Ayuyu said last Tuesday at McDonald\u2019s\u2019 Chalan Laulau branch that the fastfood chain donated $1,000 to MINA.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that McDonald\u2019s has been implementing environment-friendly policies such as the usage of recycled materials for their food packaging. \u201cFifty percent of our packaging comes from sustainable resources. \u2026Our goal is 100 percent of our packaging to come from renewable resources, or recycled and certified sources,\u201d Ayuyu said.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent change was implemented on their breakfast items.
