The Koblerville Elementary School had 20 more shelterees beyond its capacity yesterday.\u00a0As of\u00a06:30pm\u00a0yesterday evening, two other schools were also beyond their capacities: Marianas High School, and Tanapag Middle School.<\/p>\n
KES had 66 shelterees; its capacity is only 46.<\/p>\n
TMS had 41 shelterees\u2014one more than its 40-person capacity.<\/p>\n
MHS had 81 shelterees; its capacity is 80.<\/p>\n
Other shelters that were still accepting shelterees included Kagman High School, which as of\u00a06:30pm\u00a0was housing 78 of its capacity of 80; Dandan Middle School was housing 53 of its capacity of 60; San Vicente Elementary School was housing 88 of its capacity of 100; and Chacha Oceanview Middle School was housing 18 of its capacity of 50.<\/p>\n
As of\u00a06:30pm yesterday, there were 82 shelterees at the Saipan Aging Office, according to Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Secretary Robert Hunter. The center has a capacity of 120.<\/p>\n
The number of shelterees at the Commonwealth Health Center, according to Public Health and Hospital Emergency Preparedness director Warren Villagomez, totaled nine as of\u00a07:15pm\u00a0yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
In a previous press release from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp., the agency noted that only pregnant women will be provided shelter due to the \u201climited hospital capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n
In total, there were 516 shelterees on Saipan.<\/p>\n
On Tinian, the Tinian Elementary School and the Tinian Jr.\/Sr. High School had 21 and 51 shelterees, respectively. Both have a capacity of 60. Thirty slots were available.at the Tinian Aging Office but no one sought shelter there.<\/p>\n
In total, there were 72 shelterees on Tinian.<\/p>\n
Rota, besides being beat up the most by Typhoon Mangkhut, only had a total of 34 shelterees\u201417 each for the Rita H. Inos Jr.\/Sr. High School and the Rota Aging Office, which has a capacity of 60 and 100, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
