{"id":284249,"date":"2018-09-12T06:06:31","date_gmt":"2018-09-11T20:06:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=284249"},"modified":"2018-09-12T06:06:31","modified_gmt":"2018-09-11T20:06:31","slug":"mva-works-to-bring-back-japan-market-share","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mva-works-to-bring-back-japan-market-share\/","title":{"rendered":"MVA works to bring back Japan market share"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority is aggressively working to revive the Japan market to bring back the CNMI\u2019s market share to acceptable levels as part of MVA\u2019s goal of having a diversified tourism economy.<\/p>\n<p>MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion told Saipan Tribune that reviving the Japan market will balance out their portfolio going forward.<\/p>\n<p>Concepcion said MVA has set a strategic goal of having a diversified tourism economy with 30 percent coming from Japan, 30 percent from Korea, 30 percent from China, and 10 percent from Taiwan, Russia, and everywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>At present, Japan accounts for only 7 percent market of the market. <\/p>\n<p>He said MVA is thankful to Gov.
