Ralph DLG Torres last Monday on Capital Hill.<\/p>\n<p>MVA managing director Chris Concepcion said the board is excited to work with Villagomez as he would bring to the table new ideas, most especially with his background in the medical field.<\/p>\n<p>Villagomez, the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program\/Hospital and Public Health Preparedness Program director, was nominated by Tinian Mayor Joey Patrick San Nicolas to be the island\u2019s representative on the MVA board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very excited and we haven\u2019t had a board member representing Tinian in over a year. We have a lot of projects lined up for the island of Tinian as part of [MVA\u2019s] destination enhancement,\u201d said Concepcion. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to get his perspective for Tinian. Of course, he has a different background\u2014the healthcare industry where he works today. We\u2019re excited to have that kind of perspective in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that health safety is also a concern. \u201cWhen tourists choose places to go and visit, the safety and health standards of their destination are always considered.
