\nAn abandoned four-story building on Alyupang Pl at Laly 4 Beach in Chalan Kanoa has been converted into a 23-room beachfront hotel. <\/p>\n

The Marine Sports Hotel, which used to occupy the place but shut down many years, is now owned by Magisland LLC, which bought the building two years ago and turned it into Saipan Beach Hotel last January, according to Mustafa Shakir, who is part of the hotel\u2019s managing company.<\/p>\n

Shakir said the renovation cost an estimated $600,000.<\/p>\n

The building itself is located on 1,000 square meters of beachfront land. The area is zoned as a tourist resort. <\/p>\n

Magisland LLC has filed a request with the CNMI Zoning Office for a conditional use permit to occupy the four-story building and operate the Saipan Beach Hotel. The CNMI Zoning Board will hear the permit application at the Kanoa Resort Latte Stone conference room on Oct. 4, 2018, at 5pm.<\/p>\n

Shakir said their target are government workers and tourists from China, Korea, and from other countries. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are open to all,\u201d he said. \u201cWe give them [guests} service and take care of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hotel is a one-minute walk to the beach. <\/p>\n

Shakir said they offer some rooms with garden views and free WiFi throughout the property. <\/p>\n

It has a 24-hour front desk. Each unit comes with a seating area and a flatscreen TV. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
