{"id":285954,"date":"2018-10-04T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=285954"},"modified":"2018-10-04T06:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-10-03T20:00:00","slug":"taga-time-traveler-theory-to-tinian-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/taga-time-traveler-theory-to-tinian-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Taga Time Traveler Theory to Tinian Tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The following sonnet is written in honor of Tinian\u2019s first Gineptin Ha\u2019anen Taga, Chief Taga Festival on Oct. 7, 2018.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A tiny treatise for you on theoretic time travel and Taga<br \/>\nto understand you must accept a certain time travel theory<br \/>\nspace travelers may come here like the flying fish gaga<br \/>\nthrough a space time continuum and they never grow weary.<br \/>\nTime flying fish see above,below,beyond surfaces of time and history<br \/>\nwhere we are going what we saw and when and where we did go<br \/>\nthe future development for Taga time travelers is not a mystery<br \/>\nthey can compare the future with what happened a long time ago.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nOne thing for certain just a few or even many years from now<br \/>\nbula guihan, katnen guaka, gollai hagun suni, yan mannge\u2019 chow<br \/>\nthe future is alive and well in Taga Park and in Tinian today<br \/>\nwith any advancement time will bring some loss and sorrow<br \/>\nTaga\u2019s spirit is alive in the people of Tinian and in their DNA<br \/>\nSo tune in to your own progress towards the Tinian of tomorrow.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Hope For the Future, a Prayer For Political Peace<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<em>\u201cDemocracy is the worst form of government except for all others that have been tried from time to time.\u201d So said Winston Churchill, quoting an unknown predecessor. This poem is a litany of hope for democracy and the US Supreme Court. A litany is a prayer consisting of a series of invocations and supplications by the leader with alternate responses by the congregation. The response in this secular litany is, \u201cHope for the future.\u201d Hope is used as both a verb and a noun in the poem.<\/em><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLet us pray for political peace. Response: Hope for the future<br \/>\nPartisan politics is dividing the country.\u00a0 Hope for the future<br \/>\nLet opponents fight inside reality ropes.\u00a0 Hope for the future<br \/>\nPrevent the country from being torn apart. Hope for the future<br \/>\nFrom accused and accuser lets hear the inside dope. Hope for \u2026<br \/>\nLet the FBI do a proper and thorough investigation. Hope for \u2026<br \/>\nMay the light of reason into darkness grope.\u00a0 Hope for the future<br \/>\nPresent all sides of each and every situation. Hope for the future<br \/>\nWash dirty politics with sensible and sound thinking soap. Hope\u2026<br \/>\nOn denial of women\u2019s rights just say nope. Hope for the future<br \/>\nKeep the doors of democracy wide open. Hope for the future<br \/>\nLet us remember Pres. John F. Kennedy\u2019s famous quote. Hope \u2026<br \/>\nPrivate and public prayers from a penitent Pope. Hope for the \u2026<br \/>\nDon\u2019t be discouraged by bruised democracy.
