{"id":286700,"date":"2018-10-16T06:06:21","date_gmt":"2018-10-15T20:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=286700"},"modified":"2018-10-16T06:06:21","modified_gmt":"2018-10-15T20:06:21","slug":"freedom-walk-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/freedom-walk-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Freedom Walk tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Field of Heroes Freedom Walk, which is meant to remember those who laid down their lives during the 9\/11 disaster back in 2001, would start at 5pm tomorrow on Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>The walk would start from the Garapan Fishing Base up to the venue site at the American Memorial Park.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Fire and Emergence Medical Services would provide a water cannon salute to walk participants, according to TanHoldings vice president for Corporate Affairs Cathy Attao-Toves. TanHoldings Corp. and its charitable arm, the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, is hosting the annual event.<\/p>\n<p>Attao-Toves said that a little over 300 flags have garnered sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>At the AMP, the CNMI National Anthem would be played by the Music of the Marianas Association, followed by the invocation and welcome greetings by National Park Service superintendent Barbara Alberti.<\/p>\n<p>TanHoldings president Jerry Tan would speak, followed by a guest speaker, whom Toves has yet to disclose as of publication. <\/p>\n<p>A wreath dedication followed by a moment of silence will be followed by a 30-second-long siren of all emergency vehicles in the CNMI.
