The reigning Miss Marianas will be leaving this month to vie for the Miss International crown. <\/p>\n

Miss Marianas 2018 Celine Concepcion Cabrera is set to fly to Tokyo, Japan on Oct. 20 to try her luck at the Miss International stage.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026The pageant itself is on Nov. 9\u2026 I will be there before the pageant starts. I will be there for three weeks,\u201d said Cabrera.<\/p>\n

According to Cabrera, her heart is set on being the first Miss Marianas to bring home the crown and title. \u201cI know that many of our queens brought home the Miss Friendship award but, other than that, we have yet to bring back the crown, so I hope to be the first one<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026I am so blessed to have the opportunity to go out and represent our island\u2026but my main goal is to bring back the crown,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n

Cabrera said she wants to put the Marianas on the map and garner global recognition for the islands\u2019 beauty. <\/p>\n

\u201cI want our islands to be globally recognized as a beautiful place to live with its beautiful people, amazing culture and customs, and just everything about Saipan, Tinian, and Rota\u2026I\u2019d love for the world to know and that\u2019s my goal for Miss International,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Although she is beyond nervous, Cabrera is turning the nervousness into excitement because she expects the experience to be once in a lifetime. <\/p>\n

\u201cNot many people can say that they ran in a Miss International pageant, so that\u2019s going to be a great experience for me,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Cabrera has been training both physically and mentally with her crew. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have been training with my personal trainer [and] he has been a great help in this journey fitness wise. \u2026Stellar [Marianas] has been wonderful in helping and assisting me [with] respect to categories like my question-and-answer. \u2026Ernie Molina has been training me for my pageant walk and my poise,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Cabrera asks that the CNMI community continue to support her as she vies for the crown while representing the Northern Mariana Islands. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to ask for the continued support of our community. Everyone has been so wonderful with their kind words. I have received so many messages, calls from my friends and family in the community, and they are just letting me know that they support me and they want me to enjoy my time and not be too nervous but to do my best out there,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
