The Marianas Visitors Authority will hold its semi-annual general membership meeting on Nov. 9, 2018, at Royal Taga Ballroom, Saipan World Resort at 10am. Registration will begin at 9:30am. <\/p>\n
Guest speakers will be from the MVA\u2019s offshore offices and will provide a recap of fiscal year 2017 projects and the MVA\u2019s marketing plans for fiscal year 2019. Speakers will be the in-country managers: Irene Lee, Korea market; Florence Shi, China market; and Takashi Ichikura, Japan market. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur next membership meeting will be a review of the effectiveness of our strategies last fiscal year and a fairly detailed look at what\u2019s ahead for marketing and other programs with our available budget for the new fiscal year,\u201d said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. \u201cWe encourage all members to attend this meeting, which also provides an important opportunity to dialogue with the MVA and network with other tourism industry professionals.\u201d <\/p>\n
The meeting cost is $16 per person for MVA members and $20 per person for non-members. The cost includes light refreshments and lunch. RSVP should be made by Nov. 1, 2018. <\/p>\n
The MVA also welcomes new businesses, agencies and individuals who want to actively participate in the Marianas\u2019 top industry as MVA members. Membership is $100 annually. Benefits include: business listing on the MVA\u2019s language-specific websites in Japan, Korea, China, Russia, Taiwan, and English; opportunities for business brochure distribution at MVA offices in The Marianas and internationally; opportunities to participate in travel and trade shows, sales seminars, and FAM tours; detailed visitor data through monthly statistics reports; nomination and voting rights for the MVA Board of Directors; and the opportunity to be a supplier or contractor for the MVA. New and returning members for Fiscal Year 2019 beginning on Oct. 1, 2018, can register and pay on the MVA\u2019s English website at www.mymarianas.com. <\/p>\n
