{"id":286994,"date":"2018-10-19T06:00:13","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T20:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=286994"},"modified":"2018-10-19T06:00:13","modified_gmt":"2018-10-18T20:00:13","slug":"fun-in-the-son-5k-fun-run-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/fun-in-the-son-5k-fun-run-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Fun in the Son 5K Fun Run tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Life in the Son Christian Fellowship will hold the Fun in the Son 5K Run tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Race organizer and pastor of Life in the Son Christian Fellowship Eric Abragan said the weekend run is open to the public and the first 100 to register will receive complimentary shirts. Registration can be made online at www.5k.lifeinthesonsaipan.org or at Minatchom Atdao Pavilion at 5:30am on race day. The race will start at 6:30am. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cRunners and walkers are welcome to join,\u201d Abragan said.<\/p>\n<p>Participants can enter one of the seven age categories and the Top 3 from each age division will receive medals. The age categories are as follows: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and above.<\/p>\n<p>Registration fee is $10 per person and all participants will get raffle tickets with the drawing to be held after the race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA portion of the proceeds will go to support our April 2019 mission trip to Pohnpei where are going to send a team of youth, young adults, and adults,\u201d Abragan stated. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope to inspire healthy living in the community and to share the message that our bodies are gifts from the Lord,\u201d Abragan shared. \u201cWe also hope to share the message of hope and eternal life found only in Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before the race kicks off, Unshakable will be jamming out some tunes starting at 5:20am. Unshakable is a newly established band made up of vocalists and musicians from Grace Christian Assembly. <\/p>\n<p>Abragan also mentioned that Bishop Ferdie Cabiling from the Philippines and nicknamed \u201crunning pastor\u201d because of his passion for running and for the Lord, will be among the special guests at the event. Bishop Cabiling is the author of a book entitled \u201cRUN: Endure the Pain, Keep the Faith, Finish Your Race.\u201d Pastor Mark and Terry Benavente from Guam will also grace tomorrow\u2019s race. <\/p>\n<p>The Fun in the Son 5K Fun Run is sponsored by the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan, Hyatt Regency Sapan, IT&amp;E, Let\u2019s Go!
