A 47-year-old man who allegedly bit his wife back in July will request for a change of plea hearing. <\/p>\n
Mizanur Rahman, who was jailed for allegedly sitting on his wife, biting her, and scratching her cheeks last July, has been scheduled for a change of plea hearing or status conference on Nov. 27, 2018.<\/p>\n
Rahman has been charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace. <\/p>\n
Aside from the original charges, Rahman is also accused of violating a protective order. The wife had an active order of protection from the Superior Court, which directed Rahman to stay away from her.<\/p>\n
According to a police report, Rahman drove to a barbecue concession stand in San Antonio where his wife and a man were standing.<\/p>\n
Rahman ordered his wife to follow him but she refused and told him to leave.<\/p>\n
Police said Rahman tried to grab his wife\u2019s hand, but her male companion stepped in, blocking and pushing Rahman away.<\/p>\n
Rahman then picked up a piece of wood about 4 feet in length and swung it at the man, hitting him in the arm.<\/p>\n
The man held on to Rahman to stop him from hurting anyone else.<\/p>\n
Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan imposed a $5,000 cash bail on the defendant who was remanded to the Department of Corrections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
