Ralph DLG. Torres to make the call whether to postpone or proceed with the Nov. 6 general election due to Super Typhoon Yutu\u2019s massive devastation on Saipan and Tinian.<\/p>\n<p>CEC executive director Julita A. Villagomez said that they would hear from the governor and his decision anytime yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Many people believe that, considering the catastrophic damage to the two islands, it would be impossible to hold election in less than two weeks. <\/p>\n<p>As to CEC office\u2019s building damage assessment, Villagomez said all the ballot boxes and counting machines are safe in their storage room.<\/p>\n<p>She said their office had only minor water damage.<\/p>\n<p>CEC staff members reported to work yesterday. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Election Commission is waiting for Gov.
