{"id":287747,"date":"2018-10-30T06:06:06","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T20:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=287747"},"modified":"2018-10-30T06:06:06","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T20:06:06","slug":"cnmi-courts-sustain-damage-due-to-yutu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cnmi-courts-sustain-damage-due-to-yutu\/","title":{"rendered":"CNMI courts sustain damage due to Yutu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The local courts on Saipan and Tinian weren\u2019t spared damage from the onslaught of Super Typhoon Yutu. <\/p>\n<p>According to a press release from the CNMI Judiciary, the Guma\u2019 Hustisia on Saipan sustained major damage and is currently unsafe for both the public and staff. It is closed until further notice<\/p>\n<p>The Kotten Tinian sustained minor damage and is anticipated to be operational within a week.<\/p>\n<p>The Centron Hustisia on Rota is operational and open to the public during regular business hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Judiciary\u2019s alternative site at the Northern Marianas College sustained damage that must be assessed before operations can occur. <\/p>\n<p>However, court hearings will continue to be scheduled at the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands. <\/p>\n<p>The Judiciary has not identified an appropriate site to conduct traffic cases just yet.
