Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph Camacho granted the distribution of over $2 million in land compensation funds from the estate of Asuncion Rangamar Aldan. <\/p>\n
Last Thursday, Camacho granted the petition for a decree of partial distribution that was submitted by Meliza Mae Deleon Guerrero Babauta, the administrator of the estate of Asuncion Rangamar Aldan (also known as the Concepcion Reyes Aldan). <\/p>\n
Babauta is the granddaughter of Asuncion Rangamar Aldan. <\/p>\n
The petition was submitted through attorney Vincent DLG Torres. <\/p>\n
The estate of Asuncion Rangamar Aldan received the $2,531,243.90 as part of the Mangabao land compensation. <\/p>\n
Each descendant of Asuncion R. Aldan will receive a share of $810,414.63. <\/p>\n
The descendants are Eulogio Aldan, Herman Rangamar Aldan, and Ana Aldan Deleon Guerrero. <\/p>\n
In granting the request, Camacho said the families need the funds, especially after Super Typhoon Yutu devastated the island. <\/p>\n
Asuncion Rangamar Aldan is one of the two heirs of Ramona Rangamar. Ramona was one of the three deceased heirs of the estate of Maria Mangabao. <\/p>\n
On Dec. 22, 2017, after years of litigation, the Superior Court issued the decree of final distribution for the $19.3 million paid by the CNMI to the heirs of the estate of Maria Mangabao. <\/p>\n
Mangabao died in the early 1990s, leaving her estate to three heirs who are now deceased. <\/p>\n
The local court divided the land compensation funds into three shares of $5,335,216 for the three deceased heirs: Ramona Rangamar, Visitacion Rangamar Flores, and Vicente Rangamar. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
