Eight new air-conditioning units will be installed this week at the terminal at the Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport, according to Commonwealth Ports Authority executive director Christopher S. Tenorio. <\/p>\n
The units were procured before Super Typhoon Yutu and are already on Saipan.<\/p>\n
Tenorio, however, noted that every unit may take up to two weeks to be fully operational, depending on its size.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe priorities are based on passenger common-use areas that currently do not have any units,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
At present, he said, air-conditioning units are working along the west corridor, gates 1 and 2, gate 6, gate 6 holding room, and BHS area.<\/p>\n
Tenorio said air-conditioning units are working at the departure area in front of checkpoint and at the United and Jeju counters.<\/p>\n
At Customs and Border Protection, one of two air-conditioners is working.<\/p>\n
Tenorio said air-conditioning units at the arrival area, gates 3 and 4, and holding room B are not operating.<\/p>\n
