Ralph DLG Torres said that every election is one of the many chances where the voice of people is heard, where the chance of selecting their leaders are solely in their hands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is Election Day, always nerve-wracking\u2026In this election, the people decide who would lead them in the next four years and two years for members of Congress,\u201d Torres said during a break yesterday while visiting supporters across the Chacha Oceanview Middle School gate. \u201cWhen people exercise their right to vote, no one can control that but every individual who walks in to vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Torres is seeking a full four-year term after serving as the running mate of former governor Eloy S. Inos in the 2014 elections against three other opponents. He has Senate President Arnold I. Palacios (R-Saipan) as his running mate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was humbled to be given the chance to serve the last four years, with the late governor Inos. And hopefully, we could continue it,\u201d added Torres.<\/p>\n<p>He said a lot of accusations had been thrown during the campaign, with his family also being implicated. \u201cWe have been going around the same circle. I\u2019ve been accused of corruption and accused of going to be indicted for wrongdoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey accused my brothers all kinds. Even my family and my wife. It is another form of intimidation and comment. Why don\u2019t they show any proof? Stop making accusations and start proving your claims. Show proof and stop talking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Torres voted last Nov. 8, Thursday, as part of the early voting.<\/p>\n<p>Palacios voted last Saturday with some members of his family while their opponents, former governor Juan N. Babauta and Dr. Rita A. Sablan cast their votes yesterday. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
