Ralph DLG Torres and Senate President Arnold I. Palacios (R-Saipan) is currently leading the independent bets of Juan N. Babauta and Dr. Rita A. Sablan based on unofficial tally of yesterday\u2019s elections. Torres-Palacios garnered 7,053 votes against the 4,293 of Babauta-Sablan.<\/p>\n<p>Absentee ballots are not yet included as the Commonwealth Elections Commission is still counting them as of press time while Rota\u2019s results are only based on the early votes cast from Nov. 6 to 12.<\/p>\n<p>The GOP bets topped the early voting and election day tally on Saipan and Tinian while Rota\u2019s results do not include the election day and absentee ballots.<br \/>\nIncumbent Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) enjoys a wide margin in the unofficial tally against challenger Rep. Angel A. Demapan (R-Saipan) with 7,335 against the latter\u2019s 4,024.<\/p>\n<p>The local GOP is also looking to retain its hold of the House and Senate in the coming 21st Legislature based on unofficial results, which show they could earn 13 of the 20 House seats pending Rota\u2019s tally and four of the six Senate spots up for grabs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The local GOP tandem of Gov.
