CHamoru commission meeting set<\/p>\n
The Kumisi\u00f3n i Fino\u2019 CHamoru yan i Fina\u2019n\u00e5\u2019guen i Historia yan i Lina\u2019la\u2019 i Taotao T\u00e5no\u2019 (Commission on CHamoru Language and the Teaching of the History and Culture of the Indigenous People of Guam)\u00a0will hold its\u00a0monthly meeting to Nov. 20, 2018, Tuesday,\u00a0from 12:3pm to 3pm, at the Garden House (former Guam Museum)\u00a0in the Plaza de Espana,\u00a0Hag\u00e5t\u00f1a. UOG seeks noms for Palulap Award<\/p>\n
The Faculty Senate of the University of Guam is accepting nominations for the Palulap Medallion Award. \u2028\u2028The Palulap Award is presented to a member of the community of Guam who has made extraordinary contributions to the protection and promotion of the fundamental academic principles of the University of Guam, including academic freedom, institutional integrity, institutional and individual autonomy, and shared academic governance.<\/p>\n
The award includes a medallion and plaque, each engraved with a figure of Palulap, the legendary Micronesian navigator.\u2028
\nNominations are solicited annually, although the award is only granted when a nominee unequivocally meets the award criteria.
\n\u2028The deadline to submit nominations is 5pm on Friday, Feb. 15.
