Some areas in the southern part of Saipan already have power, even as restoration work is still ongoing at the four feeders that remain offline. <\/p>\n
Water production on Saipan is now at 80 percent, with 104 out of the 131 water wells operating, according to Commonwealth Utilities Corp. executive director Gary P. Camacho yesterday.<\/p>\n
In his update, Camacho said 49 water wells are online, using the CUC power grid, while 43 wells are online using Federal Emergency Management Agency generators.<\/p>\n
Camacho said the CUC power crew energized the primary lines from the Dandan entrance to Dandan Middle School last Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, the Tun Herman Pan compound and Java Joe\u2019s and Everclean laundry were energized.<\/p>\n
As of Saturday, work was still in progress for the primary lines to restore power from Dandan Elementary School to the Dandan homestead.<\/p>\n
Camacho said that, as of last Saturday, the Obyan area was being prioritized to energize the numerous water wells.<\/p>\n
He said that last Nov. 19, they energized facilities on Tun Herman Pan Road from the Adios sign to the Commonwealth Ports Authority building.<\/p>\n
The Herman\u2019s Bakery area was energized last Nov. 20.<\/p>\n
Camacho said restoration is still ongoing in the areas surrounding the Northern Marianas College and As Lito toward Koblerville.<\/p>\n
On Tinian, he said, all feeders remain offline.<\/p>\n
Camacho said Maui Pump Station remains operational and water is 100 percent online in San Jose, Marpo Valley, Carolinas Heights, and Marpo Heights I and II.<\/p>\n
